Swarnim Khare is a PhD student in the Department of Asian Languages and Cultures at the University of Michigan. She studied literature at the University of Delhi before joining the University of Michigan. She works on nonfiction narratives of imprisonment written in Urdu, Hindi and English, and is currently translating a prison memoir from Urdu to English.
