Born in Tallin in 1969, Triin Soomets is the author of thirteen books, most recently Hea ja kurja jutud (Stories of Good and Evil). Her work has been widely anthologized and translated into more than twenty languages. She received the Estonian Cultural Endowment Award in 2014 and the Ivask Memorial Prize in 2010, and has won or been nominated for many other awards and honors.
