Un Sio San graduated from Peking University and the University of Toronto. She has won numerous awards including the Henry Luce Foundation Chinese Poetry Fellowship and the inaugural New Star–People’s Literature Prize of Poetry (China). She was a poet in residence at the Vermont Studio Center and has been invited to attend international poetry and literary festivals in New York, Lisbon, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Hong Kong, and other countries. Her published poetry collections include Exile in the Blossom TimeWonderlandEvolution of LoveHereNaked Picnic, and Bitter Lotus Seed. Her latest essay collection is Boisterous Islands.
