Yordanka Beleva

Yordanka Beleva was born in 1977. She has a degree in Bulgarian philology and is a doctor of library and information sciences....

Yordanka is the author of the poetry collections Peignoirs and Boats (2002), Her (2012), and Missed Moment (2017), as well as of the short story collections The Sea Level of Love (2011), Keys (2015), Keder (2018), and Porcupines Come Out at Night (2022). Her stories and poems have been translated into English, French, Spanish, German, Turkish, Arabic, and Croatian, and anthologized in multiple collections. Yordanka has been a finalist in and a recipient of multiple national awards for both poetry and prose. Several of her stories have been made into award-winning films.
