Zira Naurzbayeva (born in 1967) is a writer with special interests in ancient Turkic mythology and modern Kazakh identity. She is the author of a monograph on Tengrism and of more than three hundred articles, all written in Russian. Links to her publications can be found on the site otuken.kz. Naurzbayeva is also the host of a weekly radio program about Kazakh music. She is currently based in Astana.
