Single Translators Seek Same: The WWB Lonely Hearts

By Susan Harris

Valentine’s Day is upon us, and while some will take this opportunity to celebrate their beloveds, others continue to search for potential partners. It’s difficult to find an appropriate match under any circumstances, and even harder to find someone who shares one’s linguistic interests. Openminded translator looking for same to explore definitions of fidelity.

Senior translator seeks mentee to role-play Michael Hofmann and translator of book under review.

Seeking pillow talk in Finno-Ugric languages.

Translator from Polish looking for the slashed l to my dotted z.

Call me Tilde. Translator from peninsular Spanish seeking specialist in Southern Cone.

Homebody traducteur of French cookbooks seeking partner with a strong grasp of domesticating strategies.

Translator from Greek looking for help with rough breathing mark.

Looking for someone to play partitive to my whole. You (will) complete me.
