what: Asymptote's "Close Approximations" translation contest
Open to translators at the beginning of their careers, this contest invites translations in three genres: poetry, fiction, and—a new category this year—literary nonfiction. The winner and runner-up of each category will walk away with US$ 1,000 and US$ 500 respectively.
