Bangladeshi author Selina Hossain, winner of this year's Ekushe Padak award, was interviewed recently for Ariful News: A Voice Against Violence. We published her story "Parul's Motherhood," translated from the Bengali by Shabnam Nadiya.


The most prestigious academic position in English poetry now has an Indian candidate. Arvind Krishna Mehrotra has been nominated alongside Derek Walcott and Ruth Padel for Oxford's Professor of Poetry.
